about

In preparation for Co-Incidences 2 at the Orkney International Science Festival, Hannah Marshall improvises to a new Tanpura based track, itself featuring samples of the opera singer Mascia Predit from the closing scene of Visconti's 1971 film of Death in Venice. Possibly the greatest sunset ever filmed...

A meditation on the Solar System, Harmony, Light and the Passing of Life, she will be joined in the final piece by Ewan Robertson on low flutes, Valerie Webster on cello, The Mayfield Singers and George McPhee playing the great organ of St Magnus Cathedral.
